Road Weather Alert
Weekend Storm

Forecast Period: 6 PM Saturday Through 3 PM Sunday
Text Updated: 2 PM Friday, November 22nd, 2024

Spotty mountain snow showers will start up Saturday afternoon across portions of Northern Utah and become more widespread by the evening. A cold front will push through Saturday night through early Sunday morning, bringing colder temperatures and widespread rain/snow to much of the Northern Utah and the Wasatch Front. As rain transitions to snow for lower valley routes, a disorganized swath of moderate snowfall is expected to form around Salt Lake/Utah County/Juab Counties. Road slush down to I-15 and lower valley routes will be possible under this band of snow. All bench routes from South Ogden to Payson will be able to see at least brief road snow early Sunday morning. All canyons, summits and Wasatch Back routes will see upwards of a few inches of road snow through Sunday morning. By midday Sunday, most snow is tapering off with roads able to start running wet. Higher mountain/upper canyon routes, particularly upper cottonwoods, likely see at least light road snow lingering into Sunday afternoon before fully dissipating.

Motorists are advised to use caution and TravelWise. Motorists using canyon and mountain routes should be aware Traction Laws may be enforced.
